My Choice is Jesus by Craig & Wendy Rogers, co-founders of Abundant Life Academy

Managing your time and your life properly is a series of choices that ultimately take you where you arrive.  If you don’t like where you are, you have only yourself to thank for the ride to the place you don’t like.  Therefore, I make the choice to stay away from mean people who have no other objective but to hurt others.  When I am the target of their vile words, I don’t take it personally, and I make a choice right then and there to love them even more.  But I also make the decision to not allow them to abuse me.  I make the choice to remove my sandles, and dust of  the dust, and take my peace with me.  I know where I am not welcomed, and I respect those who wish for my demise.  Life is way too short to engage in hateful discourse/dialogue.  There are way too many cool people to spend my time with.  I enjoy working with those who are lost, and want support along the way.  I even enjoy serving those who are hurt, knowing that “hurt people, hurt people!”  But my choice with my personal time is to be in fellowship with those who inspire and encourage others, people who share the good news, and with people who would rather suffer than to say mean things.  Therefore, I will make the choices in the management of my life.  If God calls me to work with a lost person who is filled with hate, and their opinion of others is demeaning or judgemental, then so be it.  If he does not call me to work with those people then they are no longer allowed the privilege of my time, presence, or wisdom.  We all have choices!  My choice is Jesus, how bout you?

Michael Brett, I am sorry you see it this way, but I am not in any position to “straighten you out”. As you know you are free to believe anything you wish, and to think whatever you want. I have way too many awesome things going on in my life to get involved in a dialogue of negativity over something so petty. Also, there are many students who wish to receive my coaching, and they actually want to hear what I have to say. Michael, I will not engage in any argument or debate through Facebook, my blog, or any other Internet communication system. You’re always welcomed to call me (435-899-9997) and it would be a pleasure to discuss your concerns. However, please understand that I will always reserve the right to end any conversation where one party is mean-spirited.
